Bike pedal recalled due to fall hazard

Approximately 2,900 bicycle pedals produced by Performance, Inc. have been voluntarily recalled due to a fall hazard. Pedals have also been reported to break. This is dangerous because it could cause riders to lose control and possibly fall from their bicycles. Users should immediately discontinue use and contact Performance Inc. to obtain a full refund. The bike pedals were sold in Performance Inc. catalogs (under the catalog number 50-8128) at the store's website, and at other retail stores from February 2011- October 2011 for $100.
